Key Responsibilities
As a Tilesetter with United Floors, you will be responsible for the complete installation of various types of tile flooring and wall coverings. Your duties will include preparing surfaces by measuring and marking areas to be covered, mixing and applying adhesives using hand tools, setting tiles in place, ensuring proper alignment, and finishing with grout application.
Detailed Installation Work
Your responsibilities will encompass cutting and fitting tiles around obstacles and openings using both hand and power cutting tools. You will need to pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout to achieve professional finishes. The role also includes removing and replacing cracked or damaged tiles, ensuring that all installations meet industry standards and client expectations.
Specialized Tile Work
This position requires expertise in various specialized tile applications, including laying and setting mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs. You will also be responsible for cutting, surfacing, polishing, and installing marble and granite surfaces, as well as mixing, laying, and polishing terra surfaces. Additionally, you will install tile strips and build underbeds, installing anchor bolts, wires, and brackets as needed.
