Visa Sponsorship Information
This position offers a certificate of sponsorship for eligible international candidates. If you are an orthodontist looking to relocate to the United Kingdom, this could be an excellent opportunity to work in the NHS while experiencing life in Wales.
The employer welcomes applications from candidates who require skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK. However, it is essential that you verify your eligibility with the employer directly, as sponsorship does not guarantee approval for your visa application.
From April 6, 2017, skilled worker applicants applying for entry clearance into the UK must present criminal record certificates from each country where they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) are also subject to this requirement.
About the Position
We are pleased to invite applications for a Locum Consultant in Orthodontics for Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB), working across North Wales to cover a period of maternity leave. This locum post is for up to 10 sessions, for a period of 6 months, with the possibility of further extension. Applications for part time or job sharing will be considered. The post benefits from the recently agreed Welsh consultant pay scale.

Key responsibilities include contributing to the Orthognathic Surgical Programme in liaison with maxillofacial colleagues, managing multidisciplinary cases with restorative and surgical colleagues, and supporting the North West Regional Cleft Lip and Palate Service when required.
You will also be expected to provide clinical instruction to junior members of the clinical team and Orthodontic Therapists, as well as ongoing training to primary care practitioners. There are opportunities for participation in research activities and audit work to enhance clinical practice.
