About Nuffield Health
Nuffield Health is the UK’s largest healthcare charity, dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of the nation. With a rich history dating back to its founding in 1969, Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital was originally built from funds raised by the local community and has since become one of the leading providers of private healthcare in Leicestershire. The hospital maintains a strong local reputation with patients who remain loyal to its services.
The hospital underwent a £4.5 million refurbishment in 2011, which served as the blueprint for the wider Hospitals refresh programme. Today, the facility boasts 28 ensuite inpatient beds, 2 Laminar flow theatres, an Endoscopy Suite, a minor treatment room, and 14 consulting rooms. The hospital delivers a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient treatments and services using the best possible technologies.
Since 2015, Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital has invested significantly in its infrastructure, including a static MRI unit, a new digital X-ray room, and digital mammography equipment. The hospital is proud to be a local centre of excellence for Children and Young People Services. Having a Fitness & Wellbeing Gym in Leicester has led to a close working relationship, and the Hospital was a forerunner for the Nuffield recovery plus programme.
