Primary Responsibilities
As a Kitchen Helper at Symposium Cafe Restaurant & Lounge, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our kitchen. Your responsibilities will include maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout all kitchen areas, ensuring food safety standards are met at all times.
Kitchen Cleaning and Sanitation
You will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all kitchen surfaces, including countertops, cupboards, storage areas, and all kitchen equipment and appliances. Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment is essential to our operations and food safety standards.
Food Storage and Handling
Your duties will include receiving, unpacking, and properly storing supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas. You’ll need to follow proper food handling procedures to ensure all ingredients remain fresh and safe for consumption.
Waste Management
Removing kitchen garbage and trash in a timely manner will be part of your daily responsibilities. You’ll need to follow proper waste disposal procedures to maintain cleanliness and prevent pest issues in the kitchen area.
Floor Maintenance
Keeping the kitchen floors clean and safe is essential. Your responsibilities will include sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing all kitchen floors to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
