Job Details
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our team at our Hawkesbury, Ontario facility. This is a permanent, full-time position with competitive compensation ranging from $25.00 to $36.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. The position requires 37.5 to 42 hours of work per week, with the flexibility to start as soon as possible.

Education Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must hold the following certifications:
- Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification
- Construction Millwright Trade Certification
- Propane in Construction Record of Training
- Forklift Operator Certification

Required Experience
Successful candidates will have extensive experience in industrial mechanics with particular expertise in the following areas:
- Hydrocarbon systems and industrial waste treatment
- Multiple welding techniques including oxy-acetylene, flux core arc, gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, and shielded metal arc welding
- Refrigeration systems, heat exchangers, and hydraulic systems
- Conveyor systems, pneumatic systems, and industrial engines
- Power tools, metalworking equipment, and press brakes
- Pumps, compressors, generators, and chillers
- High-pressure boilers, reactors, and pollution control systems
- Laser levelling, computerized alignment, and PLC programming
Key Responsibilities
As an Industrial Mechanic at Ecolomondo, you will be responsible for:
- Detecting and troubleshooting irregularities and malfunctions in equipment
- Repairing or replacing defective machinery parts
- Performing routine maintenance work on machinery
- Operating machining tools to fabricate custom parts
- Programming and maintaining programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Installing new machinery and equipment
- Operating hoisting and lifting equipment safely
- Commissioning systems and components
- Starting up and shutting down power plant equipment
li>Fabricating parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up
Daily Operations
Your daily responsibilities will also include monitoring and inspecting plant equipment and systems to ensure they are operating normally. You’ll maintain detailed logs of operations, maintenance activities, and safety incidents. Additionally, you’ll complete and maintain station records, logs, and reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
System Support
You will play a crucial role in supporting our operational systems by assisting in the development of operation, maintenance, and safety procedures. During routine system testing, you’ll provide technical expertise and assistance. You’ll also help locate and isolate system problems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency of our operations.
Skills and Competencies
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills and competencies in industrial mechanics. You should have experience with electrical and electronic controls, gas and air dryers, meters, indicators, and heating systems. Your expertise in bearing, seals, and packing replacement will be particularly valuable in maintaining our equipment.
