Flexible shifts including early morning, morning, day, and evening hours. The position requires 30 to 44 hours per week.

Salary
$18.03 per hour

Required Qualifications
Education
Hairstylist Trade Certification is required. Candidates must possess the necessary certification to practice hairstyling in Alberta, Canada.
Experience
Previous experience in the following areas is required: blow drying, iron waving/curling, extensions, roller setting, bleach application, dyes/tints, frosting, and streaking/highlights. Candidates should be proficient in various hairstyling techniques and able to work with different hair types and textures.
Key Responsibilities
Client Consultation and Hair Analysis
Analyze hair and scalp condition to determine appropriate treatments and styling options. Consult with clients to understand their preferences and provide professional recommendations for hairstyles that complement their physical features and lifestyle.
Cutting and Styling Services
Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm, and style hair according to client’s instructions or preferences. Perform precision haircuts and create styles that meet client expectations while maintaining hair health.
Chemical Services
Apply bleach, tints, dyes, or rinses to color, frost, or streak hair. Perform chemical treatments safely and effectively while ensuring client comfort and satisfaction with the results.
Specialized Services
Apply hair extensions and clean/style wigs and hair pieces. These specialized services require additional skill and attention to detail to achieve natural-looking results.
Reception and Salon Management
Perform receptionist duties including scheduling appointments, greeting clients, and managing salon operations. Maintain and order supplies to ensure the salon is well-stocked and ready to serve clients.
Customer Service Excellence
Provide exceptional customer service to build client loyalty and encourage repeat business. Create a positive salon experience that makes clients feel welcome and valued.
