Aramark is seeking a Food Service Worker to join the team at Brigadoon Village, 1650 North River Road in Aylesford. As a Food Service Worker, you will take on the important job of preparing and serving the meals that will fuel the campers, their counsellors, and staff!

This is a part-time opportunity beginning at 20 hours per week with the opportunity to gain more throughout the summer!

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and service of meals in accordance with menu to ensure all dietary, food safety, and quality standards are met
  • Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
  • Serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
  • Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
  • Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
  • Follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness, to ensure a balanced and safe environment; duties include sweeping, moping, ware washing
  • Perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen

Qualifications

  • 1 year experience in food service environment required
  • Experience working with children or vulnerable population considered an asset
  • Positive, can-do, team-focused attitude
