Position Overview
We are currently seeking experienced and motivated floor tile layers to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have experience installing various types of flooring materials including ceramic tiles, vinyl, hardwood, and carpeting. This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $37.00 plus opportunities for overtime pay. The work schedule ranges from 35 to 45 hours per week, with flexibility for morning, day, evening, and weekend shifts as needed.
Job Responsibilities
As a floor tile layer with Judge Renovations, you will be responsible for ensuring all flooring installations are completed to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. Your primary duties will include inspecting, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered, as well as reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements. You will need to measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding according to project specifications.
Detailed Installation Duties
Your responsibilities will extend to preparing flooring plans and scheduling for various projects. You will measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors, as well as measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings such as vinyl and linoleum. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing and installing hardwood floors, ensuring proper alignment and finishing. The role also includes inspecting and repairing damaged floor coverings, preparing floors for installations, and removing existing floor coverings and contaminants as needed.
