Job Overview
We are seeking two experienced Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Installers to join our dynamic team in Surrey, BC. Key Responsibilities
Installation and Setup
Install electronic equipment including CCTV cameras, monitoring systems, recording devices, and related security components. Ensure proper placement and configuration of all equipment according to technical specifications and client requirements.
Inspection and Assessment
Inspect products and systems to determine repair requirements and identify potential issues. Conduct thorough assessments of existing installations to recommend upgrades or improvements.
Repair and Maintenance
Repair electronic equipment and replace defective or worn-out parts using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment. Perform regular maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and longevity.
Testing and Calibration
Test and adjust repaired products for proper functioning. Calibrate systems using precision tools to ensure accurate performance and compliance with industry standards.
Diagnostic Services
Diagnose and locate circuit, component, and equipment faults using advanced testing equipment and technical expertise. Identify root causes of system failures and implement effective solutions.
Documentation
Complete detailed work orders, test reports, and maintenance documentation. Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and system configurations.
Technical Supervision
Supervise other electronic equipment service technicians and provide guidance on complex installations and repairs. Share knowledge and best practices with team members.
Blueprint Interpretation
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to plan and execute installations accurately.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education
While formal education requirements are flexible, candidates with relevant technical training, certifications in electronics, or apprenticeship completion will be given preference.
Experience
Proven experience in CCTV installation, electronic equipment repair, or related fields is essential. Experience with various security systems and brands is highly valued.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of electronic principles, circuit analysis, and security system operation. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialized testing equipment.
Language Requirements
Effective communication skills in English are required to ensure clear understanding of technical requirements and client instructions.
