About the Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join ELM Alliance LTD as a Centre Lead. We are a GP federation that promotes a high level of patient care and respect within the team. This is an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to work as part of our large team delivering the GP Extended Access Service on behalf of all member GP practices of ELM Alliance.
As a Centre Lead, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Service Coordinator in coordinating the day-to-day management of one of our Clinical hubs during the GP Extended Access Service. This position offers various contracted hours, with up to 25 hours per week available.

We deliver NHS services to the patients of Redcar, Cleveland and Middlesbrough and are wholly owned by the local GP Practices. Key Responsibilities
The Centre Lead will support the Service Coordinator in managing day-to-day activities across the clinical hubs. This includes coordinating clinical and non-clinical staff and acting as a first point of contact for problems or queries during service hours.
Your key responsibilities will include contributing to the training and induction of locum and new staff, coordinating equipment and supplies, handling day-to-day problem-solving including IT issues, and maintaining accurate records of staff hours worked.
Daily Duties
You will be responsible for circulating information about operational policies, liaising with other Centre leads and Service Co-ordinators to ensure efficient service delivery, and actively contributing to the implementation of escalation and emergency plans at service level.
The role also involves providing emergency cover for Receptionist shifts at GP Extended hours and Out of hours hubs, supporting the Head of Operational Management in ensuring services run within budget, and gathering data for regular audits to support service delivery and review.
Clinical Management
As Centre Lead, you will support the receptionists in processing personal and telephone requests for appointments, visits, and telephone consultations. You’ll ensure that all doctors’ bags and emergency drugs are fully stocked each shift and that the emergency trolley is fully maintained with any used items replaced promptly.
You’ll facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care, and other associated healthcare agencies. This involves initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, team members, and healthcare providers.
