Position Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team in Flin Flon. As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, responsible for processing transactions efficiently and providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities
As a Cashier at Cross Lake Place Ltd., your primary responsibilities will include:
Operating electronic cash registers with precision and accuracy
Processing various forms of payment including cash, cheques, and credit/debit card payments
Scanning items and calculating total payment for goods or services
Receiving payment for goods or services and providing proper change when necessary
Calculating daily or shift payments received and reconciling with total sales
Engaging in suggestive selling to enhance customer experience and increase sales
Stocking shelves and maintaining a clean counter area
Greeting customers in a friendly and professional manner
Accepting reservations or take-out orders when required
Providing excellent customer service and addressing customer inquiries
Monitoring all entrances and exits, requesting proof of payment when necessary
Verifying the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products
Required Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, candidates should have experience or familiarity with:
Electronic cash register operation
Interac machine handling
Price scanner usage
Computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems
Cleaning and maintaining work areas
While prior experience is preferred, we are willing to train motivated individuals who demonstrate strong customer service skills and a willingness to learn.
