Job Overview
We are currently hiring for a Carpenter position to work on various construction and finishing carpentry projects throughout the Edmonton area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures made of wood and other materials. This is a full-time, permanent position with immediate availability.
Responsibilities
The Carpenter will be responsible for preparing layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools to ensure precision in all work. You will measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials according to specifications.
Construction Duties
Your responsibilities will include building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems. You will ensure that all structural components are properly constructed and meet safety standards and building codes.
Installation Tasks
You will be required to fit and install various components including windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware. These tasks require precision, attention to detail, and knowledge of proper installation techniques.
Project Management
In addition to hands-on carpentry work, you will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating work on sites. This includes managing timelines, coordinating with other trades, and ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.
Qualifications and Experience
