Position Details

Salary & Compensation

Qualifications
Education
A post-secondary diploma or certification in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with CPA, CGA, or CA designations are encouraged to apply.
Experience
Minimum of 2-3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience in a food service or retail environment. Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
Calculate and prepare payroll cheques for employees, ensuring compliance with CRA regulations and provincial labor laws.
Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules to maintain accurate financial records and support tax reporting.
Maintain general ledgers, financial statements, and ensure all entries are reconciled and error-free.
Post journal entries for transactions, adjustments, and accruals as required by accounting standards.
Prepare statistical, financial, and accounting reports for management decision-making and external stakeholders.
Compile and submit tax returns, including GST/HST, payroll remittances, and corporate income tax documents.
Prepare trial balances to verify ledger accuracy and support month-end/year-end closing processes.
Reconcile bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable to ensure financial integrity.
