About the Role

Key Responsibilities
You’ll develop and manage nurse-led clinics, providing specialized care to adults with epilepsy. Responsibilities include patient education, treatment planning, coordinating multidisciplinary care, and supporting families through diagnosis and management.
Required Qualifications
Essential: Valid UK NMC registration, MSc or equivalent in health-related field (candidates undertaking study considered), proven leadership abilities. Desirable: Expert clinical skills in epilepsy care, neurology experience, nurse prescribing qualification.
Clinical Expertise
Applicants must demonstrate advanced knowledge of epilepsy pathophysiology, diagnostic protocols, and emerging treatment modalities. Experience with seizure monitoring technologies and Vagus Nerve Stimulation management is highly valued.
Risk Management
Expertise in comprehensive risk assessment protocols is critical. You’ll implement strategies for SUDEP prevention, medication management, and emergency response planning tailored to individual patient needs.
Communication Skills
Exceptional communication abilities are essential for conveying complex neurological information to patients with varying literacy levels. You’ll counsel families on lifestyle adjustments, employment rights, and driving regulations.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration
Working closely with neurologists, psychiatrists, and social workers, you’ll coordinate holistic care plans. Experience leading case conferences and developing integrated care pathways is advantageous.
Research Opportunities
