Position Overview

This Band 6 Learning & Development eLearning Specialist role represents a unique opportunity to support the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of high-quality eLearning and blended learning solutions across our Trust. Key Responsibilities

eLearning Design & Delivery

You will be responsible for creating innovative digital learning solutions that meet the diverse needs of our workforce. This includes developing interactive eLearning modules, educational videos, and multimedia resources that engage learners and promote knowledge retention.

Learning Management System (LMS) Support

The role involves managing and optimizing our Moodle-based Learning Management System, ensuring seamless user experience and maximum utilization of digital learning infrastructure. You will provide technical support and training to staff members navigating our digital learning platforms.

Blended Learning Development

You will design and implement blended learning approaches that combine digital resources with traditional training methods, creating comprehensive learning experiences that cater to various learning styles and preferences.

Project Management

Stakeholder Engagement

You will work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), clinical teams, and the wider Learning & Development team to identify training needs and develop targeted learning solutions.

The role involves evaluating the effectiveness of digital learning interventions and implementing improvements based on feedback and performance metrics.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

We require candidates to possess a degree or equivalent experience in education, digital media, instructional design, or a related field. Proven experience in developing eLearning or digital learning materials within a complex organization is essential. Candidates must demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of learning infrastructure (both current and emerging) and the ability to create approaches that maximize utilization and user experience.

Technical Proficiency Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and eLearning standards (SCORM/xAPI). Proficiency in authoring tools such as Articulate and Captivate, along with expertise in Adobe Suite applications, is mandatory. Experience with Learning Management System administration, particularly Moodle, and strong project coordination skills are essential for success in this role.

Employment Details

This is a Band 6 position within the Agenda for Change pay scheme, offering a competitive salary range of £38,682 to £46,580 per annum (pro rata). The position is offered on a fixed-term contract basis for 18 months, with full-time working hours. The role is based at our Uffculme Centre located at 52 Queensbridge Road, Birmingham B13 8QY.
