Main Duties and Responsibilities

As a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse on East 2a, you will play a pivotal role in the daily operations of our elderly care ward. Your responsibilities will include coordinating ward allocations, delivering direct patient care, and liaising with capacity managers to facilitate optimal patient flow. Your duties will extend to attending Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings, leading and guiding the nursing team, maintaining overall ward oversight during shifts, completing monthly audits, and deputizing for the Senior Sister during absences. This position requires exceptional communication skills with multi-disciplinary teams and the ability to perform effectively under pressure while adapting to various clinical situations.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must possess current registration as an Adult Nurse on the NMC register with substantial post-registration experience working in complex healthcare or acute NHS care settings.
