About the Position
We are hiring for 4 Auto Detailer positions that offer competitive compensation of $19.00 per hour. This is a permanent, full-time role with working hours scheduled during morning and day shifts. The position is based at our dealership location in Brantford, Ontario (N3R 8B8), and is available to start immediately. As an Auto Detailer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the appearance and condition of both new and used vehicles on our lot.
Responsibilities of the Auto Detailer
As an Auto Detailer with Brantford Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac Inc, your primary responsibilities will include operating various cleaning machinery to ensure vehicles meet our high standards of presentation. You will be responsible for thoroughly cleaning both the interior and exterior of motor vehicles, including washing and cleaning all interior and exterior windows and glass surfaces to achieve a showroom-quality finish.
Detailed Cleaning Duties
Your daily tasks will include vacuuming all vehicle interiors, shampooing upholstery to remove stains and odors, and meticulously cleaning vehicle interiors to ensure they are spotless for our customers. You will need to pay special attention to detail when cleaning every surface, from dashboard components to door panels, ensuring that all vehicles are presented in pristine condition to potential buyers.
Exterior Maintenance
For exterior cleaning, you will use pressure washers and specialized chemical cleaning equipment to remove dirt, road grime, and other contaminants from vehicle surfaces. You will also be responsible for applying wax and other protective treatments to vehicle paint and trim, ensuring that our vehicles maintain their showroom appearance while on the lot.
Equipment Operation
You will operate various specialized cleaning equipment including carpet cleaning machines, chemical cleaning equipment, pressure washers, and waxing machines. Proper operation and maintenance of this equipment is essential for achieving professional results and ensuring workplace safety.
Customer Service Excellence
In addition to technical cleaning skills, you will be expected to provide excellent customer service to both internal team members and external customers who may have questions about vehicle preparation services.
