About the Position
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our new Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team at Ty Llidiard. This is an exciting opportunity to work with young people between the ages of 12 and 18 years, providing specialist assessment and intervention services.

Role Responsibilities
The post holder will lead on the delivery of occupational therapy assessment and intervention with children and young people in Ty Llidiard, CAMHS. You will support individuals in their recovery, working collaboratively with service users to achieve optimum levels of occupational performance in areas of lifestyle management, motivation, interpersonal skills, cognitive skills, self-care, productivity, and leisure.
Team Leadership
You will be leading the occupational therapy team within this setting, which comprises a Band 6 post and a Band 4 Assistant OT Practitioner. The team will contribute significantly to risk assessment and risk management processes while maintaining a robust occupational focus.
Service Development
Working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team and service leads, you will inform the development of the occupational therapy service and wider service, contributing to service evaluation and future developments.
Essential Qualifications
Applicants must possess a Degree in Occupational Therapy, supplemented by post-graduate training in a related area of occupational therapy and/or mental health practice. This includes rehabilitation, recovery, occupational or psychological intervention skills to Diploma Level equivalency.
Specialist Knowledge
Candidates should have highly specialist knowledge of standardised and non-standardised assessments appropriate for use with children and adolescents.
Essential Experience
Applicants must have extensive experience working within a related mental health setting and demonstrate experience of recovery and rehabilitation principles within clinical practice. You should also have experience of delivering functional/ADL assessment to inform Care and Treatment plans, future needs, discharge planning, and identify strengths.
Desirable Skills
Welsh Language Skills (Level 3 and above/B2) are desirable for this role. While not essential, basic conversational skills in Welsh will be considered an advantage when shortlisting and selecting candidates.

Remuneration
This position is offered at Band 7 on the Agenda for Change pay scale, with a salary ranging from £48,527 to £55,532 per annum. This reflects the seniority and specialist nature of the role.
Contract Details
The position is a permanent, full-time contract working 37.5 hours per week. We offer flexible working arrangements where possible to support work-life balance.
