Position Details
This is a permanent, full-time position working 35 to 40 hours per week. The hourly wage is $15.00 CAD. The schedule includes day, evening, night, and weekend shifts, with the position starting as soon as possible. The successful candidate will report to work on-site at our restaurant location.

Responsibilities
As a Waiter/Waitress at Royal Garden Restaurant, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests. Your duties will include greeting patrons, presenting menus, taking orders, and serving food and beverages. You will also be responsible for processing payments and handling cash transactions accurately.
Daily Duties
Your daily responsibilities will include preparing and serving specialty food at customers’ tables, describing menu items including daily specials, and providing recommendations based on customer preferences. You will also be responsible for clearing and cleaning tables, trays, and chairs to maintain a clean and organized dining area.
Beverage Service
Since this position involves serving alcoholic beverages, you must be of legal age to mix and serve alcohol. You will be responsible for enforcing provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations, describing and advising on wine selection, and ordering and maintaining inventory of wines and wine glassware. ProServe certification is required for this position.
Customer Relations
Building positive relationships with customers is essential in this role. You will greet patrons, answer questions regarding food and beverages, and address any customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and courtesy. Providing exceptional service will help ensure customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
Operational Tasks
In addition to customer-facing responsibilities, you will perform various operational tasks including balancing cash and recording sales, presenting bills to customers and accepting payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques or room billings. You will also assist clients/guests with special needs and relay orders to kitchen and bar staff efficiently.
Requirements
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience with point of sale systems and ProServe certification. Previous experience in food and beverage services is preferred but not required if you have the necessary certifications. Strong communication skills, a friendly attitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential.
