Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of Charger Burger & Turbo Chicken. This is a permanent, full-time position offering competitive compensation ranging from $30.30 to $34.20 per hour, with negotiable terms based on experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of service, food quality, and operational efficiency.
Location and Schedule
The position is based at our Halifax location at 6443 Quinpool Rd, Halifax, NS B3L 1B1. This is an on-site position requiring the manager to be physically present at the restaurant during scheduled hours. The position involves a flexible schedule including early mornings, daytime, evenings, nights, and weekends, with approximately 30-40 hours per week. The ideal candidate must be available to start as soon as possible.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive hourly wage ranging from $30.30 to $34.20, with the exact compensation subject to negotiation based on experience and qualifications. Position Requirements
To be considered for this Restaurant Manager position, candidates must meet the following educational requirements:
- Food Service Manager Certification
- First Aid Certificate
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
- Safe Food Handling Certificate
Experience Requirements
Candidates should possess demonstrable experience with the following systems and technologies:
- Electronic cash register operation
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- MS Windows operating system
- Point of sale (POS) system management
Key Responsibilities
The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including:
- Evaluating daily operations to ensure efficiency and quality standards
- Monitoring revenues to determine labor costs and optimize profitability
- Conducting regular staff performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback
- Planning and organizing daily operations to ensure smooth functioning
- Recruiting qualified staff members to fill various positions
- Creating and maintaining effective staff work schedules
- Supervising staff members and ensuring adherence to company policies
- Training new and existing staff on procedures, standards, and expectations
- Organizing and maintaining inventory levels to prevent shortages or waste
- Negotiating arrangements with suppliers for food and other necessary supplies
- Negotiating with clients for catering services or facility usage
- Participating in the development and implementation of marketing plans
- Addressing customer complaints and concerns promptly and professionally
- Managing teams of 11-15 people during regular operations
- Overseeing larger teams of 16-20 people during peak periods or special events
