We are seeking qualified long haul truck drivers to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time position with competitive compensation. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials across various routes. Key Responsibilities
As a long haul truck driver at RAJA RAM LTD., your responsibilities will include loading and unloading goods, operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. You will be expected to oversee the condition of your vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance.
Daily Vehicle Maintenance
Performing brake adjustments and conducting thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections are critical aspects of this role. You will oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure timely deliveries. This includes regular checks of fluid levels, tire pressure, and other essential vehicle components.
Communication and Documentation
You will be responsible for receiving and relaying information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless coordination with our team. Accurate record-keeping is essential, including documenting cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption. These records help us maintain regulatory compliance and optimize our operations.
Cargo Security
Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo during transit is another important responsibility. You will need to properly secure all loads to prevent shifting or damage during transportation. This includes using appropriate tie-downs, straps, and other securing devices as required by industry standards.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must possess a valid Class 1 or Class A driver’s license.
