Responsibilities
The User Support Technician at SPACEA INFOTECH will be responsible for a wide range of technical support functions that ensure our organization’s IT systems operate efficiently. You will be the first point of contact for employees experiencing technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Key responsibilities include:
Technical Support and Troubleshooting
You will provide comprehensive technical support to users experiencing difficulties with computer systems, software applications, and network connectivity. This includes diagnosing hardware and software issues, implementing solutions, and following up to ensure problems are resolved effectively.
Network Management and Security
You will be responsible for granting secure access to computer networks while maintaining proper security protocols. Additionally, you will monitor and report on the performance of computer systems and networks, identifying potential issues before they impact business operations.
User Training and Documentation
You will provide advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties, helping colleagues develop better technical skills. You’ll also consult user guides, technical manuals, and other documentation to research and implement the most effective solutions for various technical challenges.
System Maintenance and Setup
This role involves setting up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, and appropriate software. You will also perform web-server backup and recovery operations to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
Team Supervision and Collaboration
As a senior member of the support team, you will supervise other technical support workers in this group, typically managing 3-4 people. You’ll coordinate team efforts, ensure quality service delivery, and contribute to team development initiatives.
Incident Management and Customer Service
You will manage technical incidents throughout their lifecycle, from initial report to resolution. Providing excellent customer service will be a key aspect of your role, as you interact with users at all levels of the organization to address their technical needs and concerns.
