Springbank Dental Clinic is a well-equipped modern dental practice located in the historic spa town of Cheltenham. The clinic features state-of-the-art surgeries with quality equipment and materials, including Biodentine and Rotary Endodontics, and access to OPGs (orthopantomograms). Working hours are from 08:30-17:00 with protected admin time and free onsite parking.
Team and Support
The clinic benefits from a dedicated Lead Dental Nurse present on site every day, supported by a Senior Lead Clinician. Post holders will also receive support from the wider specialist Community Dental Service. The practice maintains a motivated and supportive team environment, with regular interaction at training events, peer review sessions, audits, and team meetings.
Key Responsibilities
The post holder will be expected to provide a full range of NHS dental treatment and preventative care to patients at Springbank Dental Clinic. This unique role combines delivery of evidence-based general dental care with a special focus on improving the oral health of children. The practitioner will provide dental services as agreed with the Clinical Director, supporting service responsibility in delivering essential standards of quality and safety that meet the requirements of the Care Quality Commission.
Qualifications Required
Essential qualifications for this position include full GDC (General Dental Council) registration and a current Performer Number. Candidates must have completed a Vocational Training Programme. Desirable qualifications include experience of providing NHS dental treatment within the General Dental Services (GDS) and experience of using an electronic patient record system.
Essential Experience
Candidates must demonstrate completion of a Vocational Training Programme and show understanding and evidence of participation in clinical audit. Experience of providing NHS dental treatment within GDS is considered desirable, along with experience using electronic patient record systems.
