Job Overview

We are seeking a Consultant Physician in Healthcare for the Older Person (HFOP) to join our Eastern services at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. This is an exceptional opportunity for international medical professionals to work with a leading UK healthcare provider with sponsorship available.

These roles are part of an integrated department extending to Northern services in Barnstaple.

Location Details

The position is based at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital in Exeter, Devon. This Southwest England location offers beautiful countryside, excellent schools, and exceptional quality of life with easy access to national parks and beaches.

While primarily based on our Eastern site, the role includes providing clinical support to Northern services in Barnstaple, approximately 45 miles away. Regular travel between sites will be required.

Salary and Benefits

Consultants receive a competitive salary range of £109,725 to £145,478 per annum based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include:

Contract Details

These permanent positions offer flexible working arrangements including job sharing opportunities. Posts can be undertaken on whole-time (10PA) or part-time basis by suitably qualified applicants. We are committed to accommodating flexible working patterns.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must have completed specialist training in Geriatric and General Internal Medicine and be on the GMC Specialist Register. We welcome applications from established consultants and senior trainees who will be within six months of completing specialist training at the time of the Advisory Appointments Committee.

Desirable Experience

Job Responsibilities

As a Consultant Physician in HFOP, you will provide high-quality clinical care to elderly patients within multidisciplinary teams. Key responsibilities include:

    li>Contributing to teaching and training programs

    li>Supporting service development initiatives

    li>Maintaining clinical governance standards

The role requires providing clinical support to both Eastern and Northern services, ensuring consistent care standards across our integrated system.
