Location and work environment
The position is based at the Edmonton, AB T6P 1S4 facility. Work will primarily involve on-site duties but requires extensive travel across Canadian provinces/territories and international borders.
Salary and compensation
Competitive hourly wage ranging from $33.00 to $36.50 per hour, negotiable based on qualifications and experience. Compensation package includes multiple premium payments.
Work schedule
Standard 50 to 60 hour work weeks with overtime requirements. Schedule flexibility is essential as shifts operate during early mornings, mornings, days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Required qualifications
Mandatory qualifications include: Class 1 or A commercial driver’s license, Air Brakes Endorsement, and Working at Heights training certification. Canadian language proficiency is assumed given the role requirements.
Experience requirements
Applicants must demonstrate experience with: accident reporting, bill of lading documentation, dangerous goods reporting, driver logbooks, pre-trip/post-trip inspections, maintenance reports, trans-border documentation, trip reporting, and operation of dry bulk, flatbed, and logging cargo across highway, international, long-haul, and provincial/territorial routes.
Key responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include coaching colleagues on operational techniques, demonstrating mountain driving expertise, maintaining professional customer service standards, arranging travel itineraries and reservations, operating as part of two-person driving teams or convoys, driving specialized lighter trucks, loading/unloading cargo, obtaining international transport permits, operating straight/articulated trucks, overseeing vehicle condition including tire/light/brake/cold storage inspections, handling goods-related payments, performing brake adjustments and roadside repairs, conducting comprehensive vehicle inspections, performing preventive maintenance, relaying dispatch communications, recording cargo details/hours/distance/fuel consumption, and securing cargo with tarping procedures.
