About the Position
We are currently seeking two Personal Support Workers for our Home Support program. This is a permanent, full-time position offering competitive compensation of $36.10 per hour for 35 hours per week. The role involves providing personalized care and assistance to clients in their homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
As a Personal Support Worker with MOONBEAM RETIREMENT RESIDENCE INC., you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care and assistance to clients. Your duties will include administering bedside and personal care, assisting clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, and providing companionship to alleviate loneliness and isolation.
You will also be responsible for administering medications as prescribed, assisting clients in water activities such as pool exercises, and helping with regular exercise like walking. Additionally, you will change non-sterile dressings, collect specimens when required, and demonstrate infant care to new parents if applicable.
Your responsibilities will extend to assisting with feeding or helping clients feed themselves, planning therapeutic diets and menus, and shopping for food and household supplies. You will also handle household tasks such as laundering clothing and household linens, mending clothing and linens, and performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
Qualifications and Requirements
