We are seeking experienced carpenters to join our permanent, full-time team at our Ingonish Beach work location. Compensation Package
Our carpenter position offers competitive hourly wages ranging from $25.00 to $32.00 per hour, with the exact rate subject to negotiation based on experience and qualifications. This represents above-average compensation for the region. The position is guaranteed 40 to 55 hours per week, providing stable and predictable income for our team members.

This is a permanent, full-time position starting as soon as possible. The work schedule includes early morning, morning, and day shifts to accommodate project timelines. Required Experience and Skills
Applicants should have extensive experience operating various construction equipment and tools including compactors, Bobcats, hand tools, trampers (jumping jacks), small front end loaders, sledgehammers, screeds, and power-driven floats. Additional experience with mortar and concrete mixers, drills, concrete saws, concrete vibrators, chippers, chain saws, air compressors, reciprocating saws, circular saws, air guns, nail guns, torches, forklifts, and grinding machines is essential.
Core Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this carpenter position include reading blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements accurately. You will need to prepare layouts in conformance to building codes using various measuring tools. The position involves measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other construction materials.
Construction Duties
Key construction duties include building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems. You will be responsible for mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt. The position also requires loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials to and from various job sites safely and efficiently.
Structural Work
Carpenters in this role will erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required by project specifications. You will assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs according to detailed blueprints and engineering specifications. All work must be completed with attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
Equipment Operation
Proficiency in operating a wide range of construction equipment is essential for this position. You will need to demonstrate skill and safety awareness when using powered and hand tools.
