Join Our Cybersecurity Team as a Senior Cloud Security Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Security Specialist to join our dynamic IT security team. This full-time, permanent position offers an exceptional opportunity to design, implement, and maintain robust security frameworks for our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP security best practices, coupled with a deep understanding of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR.
This role is based in our London headquarters with hybrid working options (3 days office/2 days remote). We offer a competitive salary range of £75,000 – £95,000 per annum plus performance bonuses, comprehensive private medical insurance, and a generous pension scheme. Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for architecting and implementing cloud security solutions across multi-cloud environments. This includes developing security automation scripts using Python and Terraform, conducting regular penetration testing and vulnerability assessments, and leading incident response procedures for cloud-based security incidents. You will collaborate with DevOps teams to embed security practices into CI/CD pipelines and provide expert guidance on cloud security architecture to engineering teams.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining and monitoring cloud security posture management tools, managing identity and access control systems, and ensuring all cloud environments meet regulatory compliance requirements. You will also be required to stay current with emerging cloud threats and technologies, and contribute to the development of the organization’s overall cloud security strategy.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CISSP/CISM certification is highly desirable. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in cloud security roles, with at least 3 years specifically focused on AWS, Azure, or GCP environments. Hands-on experience with security tools such as Palo Alto Networks, Splunk, or CrowdStrike is essential.
Technical proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash), infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation), and container security technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is mandatory.
