We are seeking two motivated Construction Labourers to join our dynamic team in Calgary. Salary and Compensation
We offer a competitive hourly wage of $25.00 per hour for a 35-hour work week. This translates to an annual salary of approximately $45,500 based on standard hours, with significant potential for overtime earnings. Key Responsibilities
As a Construction Labourer, your primary responsibilities will include loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials to various job sites. You will operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position, and place equipment and materials safely and efficiently. Additionally, you will operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into earth to provide support for buildings and other structures.
Equipment Operation
You will be trained to operate various types of cranes including gantry cranes for loading and unloading ship cargo at port side, locomotive cranes for moving objects in railway yards, offshore oil rig cranes, boat-mounted cranes, and dragline cranes for mining operations. We provide comprehensive training on all equipment to ensure safety and proficiency.
Construction Support Duties
Your role will include assisting in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs. You will help align pipes during pipeline construction and participate in demolition activities when required. The position also involves cleaning and piling salvaged materials, performing routine maintenance work, and cleaning up chemical spills and contaminants.
Site Maintenance and Safety
You will be responsible for removing rubble and debris at construction sites and directing traffic at or near construction locations to ensure public safety. We prioritize safety above all else and provide extensive safety training and protective equipment to all employees.
Material Handling
The position involves mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt. You will learn proper techniques for material preparation and application, gaining valuable skills that are highly sought after in the construction industry across Canada.
Training and Development
We provide comprehensive on-the-job training for all new employees, regardless of previous experience. For newcomers to Canada, we offer additional support including language assistance if needed, safety certification training, and guidance on Canadian construction standards and practices.
