Position Overview
We are hiring 4 permanent full-time Truck Driver positions with competitive hourly wages of $36.00 per hour. This position offers 30-40 hours per week with flexible scheduling that includes early morning, morning, day, evening, night, and weekend shifts. Education Requirements
Mandatory Certifications
All applicants must possess a valid AZ class license, which is the highest class of commercial driver’s license in Ontario. Additionally, candidates must have Air Brakes Endorsement certification. These credentials are essential for operating tractor-trailers and ensure compliance with Canadian transportation regulations.
Experience Requirements
We require candidates with comprehensive experience in various driving scenarios, including dangerous goods occurrence reports, maintaining accurate driver logbooks, operating tractor-trailers, and handling both long-haul and short-haul routes. Your international driving experience is valuable and transferable to the Canadian context.
Key Responsibilities
Driving Operations
As a Truck Driver with CBC FREIGHT HAULERS, you will drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods across various routes. You will be responsible for loading and unloading goods, maintaining detailed records of cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
Vehicle Maintenance
Your role includes overseeing the condition of the vehicle and conducting thorough inspections of tires, lights, brakes, cold storage systems, and other essential equipment. You will perform brake adjustments, emergency roadside repairs, and preventive maintenance to ensure vehicle reliability and safety.
Safety Compliance
You will perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections while overseeing all aspects of vehicle operation. A critical component of your responsibilities includes transporting and handling dangerous goods in compliance with Canadian safety regulations. You will also receive and relay information to central dispatch, maintaining clear communication throughout your routes.
